What do you make for a little man that is turning two years old, that just graduated into his first big boy bed, and that has two older brothers - that he tries like HECK to be just like, (8 years old and 4 years old), that are very very into Pirates, Skeletons, and Spooky Stuff?

You make him a Big Boy Bed Skeleton BlanketCollapse )

Yes.
I have a "collection"... of sorts.

...... "Om"

The bag patterns are my very own design... not brain surgery or anything... but i was pretty proud that they came out - and since they ARE mine... i can sell them without having to worry about copyrite issues. Just have to come up with my own chart.

The Om chart came from Hip Graphic Knits..., and was the entire reason i purchased the book. ;)

There will be more. These two were specifically for Christmas presents... but i fell in love with both of them... and it was VERY hard to part with them come Christmas.... so... there will be more.

On to the pictures....Collapse )

Yet something else i was all intimidated over... that turned out to be absolutely NOTHING.... CABLES.

Dude.

Stayed up Christmas Day night until about 3:30... reading and trying... trying... and trying.... and wanting to go just one more row... to see how it was going to turn out.

This was my first attemptCollapse )

I have a particular pair of pinstripe pants that i have been mulling over the idea of making a scarf to match with for about a year now. Well, a little more than mulling actually, i have three unfinished scarves worked up... none of which really do it for me.

I started another one last night. It was a dark and stormy day... so what better than to go to the craft store to drool over yarn?

Just a basic seed stitch on size 15 needles... adding in a strand of ribbon yarn every other 5 rows.

on with the pics...Collapse )

I tried out a pattern for a rib lace, my first attempt at yarn overs.
I used baby yarn and size 2 needles... and the first attempt decided it wanted to become a coin purse... with a skull on it.

After this coin purse i have decided that i LOVE the smaller yarns and needles. I really like the end result and how clean the design looks. Expect more like this. ;)
